Vijjay’s representative engagements across his independent legal practice include:

Infrastructure, Construction & Public Procurement

• Advised infrastructure companies and project developers on high-value engineering contracts, structuring claims frameworks for Extension of Time (EOT), prolongation costs, and risk-and-cost mitigation under complex EPC and FIDIC-based models.
• Represented public and private stakeholders before Dispute Adjudication Boards (DAB/DAAB) and in subsequent arbitral proceedings arising out of major metro rail construction and public concessions.
• Formulated and argued writ petitions before Constitutional Courts challenging tender evaluations, administrative allocations, and arbitrary state actions.

Commercial Litigation & Arbitration

• Conducted complex trials, commercial suits, and appeals before the Commercial Division of the High Court of Madras, navigating high-stakes shareholder deadlocks, corporate governance breakdowns, and multi-market contract breaches.
• Managed domestic arbitrations from inception to execution, regularly directing emergent applications under Sections 9, 11, 17, 34, and 37 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act to secure critical interim relief and enforce final awards.

Corporate Insolvency & Restructuring

• Represented operational creditors, corporate debtors, and financial stakeholders before the National Company Law Tribunal and Appellate Tribunal in corporate insolvency resolution processes (CIRP) and debt realignment strategies.

Private Client, Property & Labour Advisory

• Advised family offices, developers, charitable trusts, and NRIs on complex property disputes, title verifications, partition actions, and development agreements, as well as handling testamentary matters including probate grants and letters of administration.
• Appeared before the Central Government Industrial Tribunal and statutory labour authorities, managing high-exposure corporate disputes involving provident fund legislation, industrial relations, and welfare compliance.
